RECITAL INFORMATION

Dance recital this Thursday at Desert Hills High School.(828 Desert Hills Drive) All dancers need to be there at 6:00pm in costume with hair and makeup done!. The recital will start at 6:30pm. Please make sure you have everything that you need for the recital.
Cheer girls come in your No Limit tank top, green shorts, tan tights, white ankle socks and white shoes. You will be the first group to perform.
All dancers will need to stay back stage for the entire recital. Parents do not come and get your child until the recital is over.

Jr Varsity ONLY I would like for everyone to have hot pink hair extensions to go with their costumes this year. I have seen them at Claire’s, Hot Topic and Sally’s beauty supply for around 2-4 dollars. Let me know if you have any questions thanks. I will explain to the girls how to have their hair done for the recital.
Hair-All bangs pulled back in a little bump, hair parted down the middle, pulled back into messy piggy tail buns with pink hair hanging straight down from each bun. Please make sure that you use lots of bobby pins so that your hair does not fall out. Aussie instant freeze hair spray works good too. I will also try and post a pic on the blog of how to have your dancers hair.

Also all dancers will be doing a small Christmas dance at the recital. Everyone will need to wear something red, white or green. These can be anything that they have already. You do not need to go buy anything. If you have Santa hats they will work to. Make sure to bring your Christmas colored outfits with you to the recital. You will need to change into them after your class dances is over. Make sure to put your name on Everything!!!!


Hair and Makeup ( All classes except Jr. Varsity)
Hair needs to be parted on the left side and pulled back into a bun with the hair piece scrunchi. Please make sure you pull back your bangs!!! Also make sure to put lots of bobby pins in the bun and hair piece scrunchi so that it does not fall out. (Aussie instant freeze hair spray works great).



Boys hip hop class-you need to wear a black T-shirt, nice jeans, white shoes and your new hoodie jacket. Boys class does NOT need anything red, white or green.

DECEMBER NEWSLETTER

WELCOME BACK to dance. I hope everyone had a good Thanksgiving. Thank you to everyone who donated for our Dixie Care and Share dinner. It turned out great. Varsity show team did a great job putting it together, However Jr. Varsity won with the most donations. Way to go girls!

Please remember that there is a $20.00 recital fee that is due with December tuition. All accounts will need to be paid in FULL before the recital. Thank You.

CHRISTMAS RECITAL- Our Christmas recital is Thursday December 17th at Desert Hills High School. The recital starts at 6:30pm all dancers need to be there at 6:00 pm in costumes with hair and makeup done. I will send home a note on how your hair is suppose to be done. Remember that you can invite all your friends and family to come watch your dancer perform.

COSTUMES- All costumes and Travel suits will be here with in the next week. I will be handing them out during classes by next week. ALL dancers will need tan tights to go with their costumes. If you do not have any you can get them at Wal-Mart or at Dance magic.
Jr. Varsity , Mini and Mini elite show teams all need black ballet shoes. You can get them at Payless or Dance Magic.

CHRISTMAS BREAK-There will be no dance from December 15th to January 3rd. Dance starts back on January 4th. I Hope you all have a wonderful Christmas and a happy New Year.

NoVeMbEr NeWsLeTtEr

THRILLER- The thriller performances turned out great! Thank you to all the parents who helped. I am so proud of all the dancers. You all did a wonderful job. Thank you to Corpse Nightmare for letting us perform there.


FUND RAISER-We are starting the Home Interiors fund raiser this week. It will be due on November 16th and 17th. All dancers will receive a 50% profit. Make sure you get out there and sell. There are prizes you can earn depending on how much you sell. Remember any money earned can help pay for your dance costumes. Thank you to, Kymbra Cox for all your help on the fund raisers.



CHRISTMAS RECITAL- The Christmas recital will be December 17th at Desert Hills High School. There is a $20.00 recital fee that is due with December tuition. Make sure to put this date on your calendars, and to invite your friends and family to attend.


COSTUMES- We will be ordering our costume on November 16th and 17th. You can use your fundraiser money if you would like. Costumes must be ordered by this date, so that they will be here in time for the Christmas recital. If your costume is not paid for in full by this date it will not be ordered. Costume price is_______________. We will also be ordering dance shoes these days.

OCTOBER NEWSLETTER

THRILLER.- We will be performing thriller 2 times. We are performing on October 23rd at the Pine View High School half time. Also on the 24th at the Corpse Nightmare Haunted House. Please make sure you are getting your thriller costumes done. If you need any help please let me or Jamie know. Anything that you can shred and cut up will be great. Jeans, flannel shirt, old dresses. Also you can make them look dirty. Please bring in your costume when you are done to get it approved or if you need help with them.
Mandatory practices for thriller are on Friday’s from 3 to 4 please make sure your dancer is there. Dancer’s please wear all black on Fridays. I will be sending home notes letting you know what time you dancer’s needs to be to both performances.


HALLOWEEN PARTIES -Our class parties will be on October 26th and 27th. Dancer’s can wear their Halloween costumes or their thriller costumes and bring a treat to share with their class. We will be dancing the first half of class and then doing parties and games the last half.


CHEER - classes start this week. Class is on Tuesdays from 7:15-8:15pm We still have a few open spots if anyone is interested. I am looking forward to opening this new class. We will be having so much fun. See you there


COSTUMES We will be ordering our costumes soon. Watch for more information to come.


FUND RAISERS- We are starting Lehi Mills today. All dancer’s will earn a 50% profit on everything that they sale. No checks will be accepted on fundraisers. It will be due back on October 19th and 20th .

SEPTEMBER NEWSLETTER

THRILLER- All classes except mini’s, and boys hip hop will be performing Thriller this year at the Corpse Nightmare Haunted house. We have been working on the dance during class. We are starting mandatory practices on Fridays from 3:00 to 4:00 pm at the studio, starting this Friday. You will be responsible for your dancers zombie costumes. Costumes should be kept inexpensive. I have examples of zombie costumes hanging in the studio for you to look at. Please try to keep the colors very dull and muted. If you have any questions please let me or Jamie Martin know and we will be happy to help.

CHEER CLASS- We are opening a new cheer class on Tuesday nights from 7:15 to 8:15.classes are starting soon so please let me know if you are interested. If you would like to sign up there is a tuition discount if your child is already enrolled in one of my classes.

FUNDRAISERS-We will be starting a new fundraiser very soon. Watch for more information to come.

TRAVEL SUITS -We are ordering new travel suits this year. I would really like for all dancers to have one. I will be placing an order for them on September 28th. Payments must be made in full to have your dancers travel suit ordered. You can use your fund raiser money to pay for them so make sure you get out there and sell, sell, sell.

Notes and News

Fundraiser: We are extending our due date for the best of value fundraiser to August 31st. This is our highest profit fund raiser so make sure you get out there and sell!
Remember, money you earn can be put towards tuition, costumes, shoes etc.

We would like to welcome Amy Neilson to our staff. She is a great teacher and we are excited to have her.

I would love to add a new Cheer class this year. Classes would be on Tuesday nights. If you are interested please let me know.

August News letter

WELCOME to dance everyone. I am really excited to have all my dancers back. This is going to be a really fun year. We have so many new and exciting things coming up. Be sure to stay current all information sent home with your child. If you do not receive your notes you can check the blog for any info that you may need. Nolimitdancestudio.blogspot.com. Also there will be notes hanging on the door to the studio for you to have. I would also like to welcome our new staff members Jamie Martin, Amber Ford, and Devin Neilson to the studio.


FUND RAISERS we are starting our first fund raiser for the year. It is Best of Value cards. Each card will be sold for $30.00 and you will make a 50% profit off each card you sell. NO checks will be accepted. You may have your customers write a check to you, however I will only be able to accept cash on all fund raisers. All dancers will have a sample card to show their customers and will receive the real cards after all money is turned in. Then you will deliver each card you sold. You can start selling your cards today and all money will be due on August 24th. All money earned will go directly into your dance account and you may use it towards tuition, travel suits, shoes, ect. These fund raisers are a great way to help with costs for dance so please make sure you all participate.


TRAVEL SUITS we are ordering new travel suits this year. I would really like for all dancers to have one. I will be placing an order for them on August 31st. DANCE INFORMATION

CLASS SCHEDULE CLASSES START AUG. 1OTH

MONDAY CLASSES

3:30-4:00 Tiny Tots 18 months 3 years old
4:00-5:30 Jr. Varsity Show Team ages 9 and up
5:30-6:15 Mini Varsity Show Team ages 4-6 years
6:15-8:15 Varsity Show Team

TUESDAY CLASSES

3:30-4:30 Elite Show Team (try out only)
4:30-5:30 Mini Elite (try out only) ages 6-8 years
5:30-6:30 Pre team ages 6-10
6:30-7:15 All boys Hip Hop

TUITION AND REGISTRATION

There is a annual registration fee of $20.00 at the time of enrollment. Tuition starts at $30.00 and varies depending on what class your child is enrolled in. There is a $5.00 sibling discount for those who have more than one child in dance. Tuition is due the first class of every month. There will be a $10.00 late fee applied to your account after that.

LOCATION
Classes are held at the Washington City Museum Gym located at 25 East Telegraph . All dancers and parents please enter through the West doors of the building.

CLASS DESCRIPTIONS
Most classes are combination classes( jazz, ballet, hip hop). Tiny tots class is jazz and ballet with some tumbling. All show Team classes are combination classes as well as competing teams. Pre-Team and Mini Varsity are beginning level classes.

NEWS TO KNOW

Dance recital is this Thursday at Desert Hills Middle School 936 East Desert Hills Drive. The recital starts at 6:30pm. All dancers need to be there at 6:00pm with hair and makeup done. The recital is free so make sure to invite your friends and family. You will also be able to register for next season if you would like. Classes are already starting to fill up so register soon.

Last days of dance are Monday the 18th and Tuesday the 19th. We will be having class parties these days. Dancers may bring a treat to share with their class and we will be playing games.

We will be having a summer camp this June for all dancers who are interested. Camp dates are June 15-17th and 22-24th from 9:30am-12:00pm. This is a great way to get a head start on all skills that will be used next season. If you are interested just give me a call or sign up at the recital.

Because they have already set up for the Cotton Days Festival we will not be able to practice at the studio. We will be having practice at the Nissons park just down the street. THINGS YOU NEED TO KNOW:

COTTON DAYS
The Cotton Days Parade is this Saturday! The Parade starts at 9:00am. All dancers need to be there no later than 8:20am. All dancers need to wear their black No Limit tank top, denim shorts and white shoes. Hair and makeup need to be the same as a performance (in a bun with hair piece and heavy makeup).If your child is riding on the float please provide them with a bag of candy to throw.

We will be performing at the Cotton Days festival after the parade. Performances start at 11:15 Please make sure you are there by 10:45am. Please meet by the pavilion at Veterans Park. This is on the opposite side of the dance studio. All dancers will be performing their jazz dances, so make sure that you bring your costumes with you. We will be done by 11:45 so please make sure you are there on time.


EXTRA PRACTICE
We will be having an extra practice for all the dancers who will be dancing in the parade(Pre- Team ,Jr. Varsity and Varsity).Practice will be this Friday May 8th. We will be dancing out on the grass behind the studio from 3:30 -5:00pm.W

YEAR END RECITAL
We will be having our year end recital May 14th at Desert Hills Middle3 School. The recital will start at 6:30pm and all dancers will need to be there by 6:00pmwith hair and makeup done. I will send home a note next week letting you know what costume to have them wear first.

Make sure to come in and order your tank tops TODAY! It is the LAST day to order! ALL DANCERS need a tank to be in the parade. If you have other children that are not in dance but that would like to ride on the float they can but they will also need to order a tank.

APRIL NEWSLETTER

COMPETITION
Congratulations to all the dancers, you all did a great job at competition. We had a lot of fun. Thanks you to all the parents for all your help and support. Congratulations to Vanessa Holbrook, Hanna Callister, Taylor Callister, Kylee Soresen, Nicole Bird, Aspen Larsen and Tyrese Foremaster you did a great job on your solos and duets.

COTTON DAYS
We will be participating in the Cotton Days Parade and performing our dance routines at the festival on May 9th. All dancers are invited to be in the parade. We will be ordering tank tops for everyone to wear. ALL dancers will need a tank top. Tanks are $10.00 and will need to be pre paid to stitches. If anyone would like to volunteer to help decorate the float please let me know. The parade starts at 9:00 am and performances at 11:00am . Mini’s, tiny tots and boys hip hop will be riding on the float. If you would like you can send them a bag of candy to throw. All other teams will be dancing behind the float. Please watch for more information to come.

YEAR END RECITAL
We will be having our year end recital in May. I will be sending home a note with more information soon. There will be a $15.00 recital fee due with may tuition.

DRESS REHERSAL

We will be having a dress rehearsal on Thursday April 2nd. All dancers need to be there!! This will be our last practice before competition. Dancers need to be there at 4:00pm in their Jazz costume.

Newsletter Information

EXTRA PRACTICE:
We will be having an extra practice and a poster making party for your dancers to make sign to put on your cars, take to competition and hold up to help support them. I will be letting you know soon when this day will be.

Parents if you have any markers, posters stickers or anything you would like to donate that would be great.

COMPETITION:
Ultimate Xpressions dance competition is April 3rd and 4th, at Dixie High School. Please make sure that you mark this on your calendar. You will be receiving a packet of information about the competition as well as a check list of all the items you will need. Please make sure that you have everything ready before the day of competition. I will be sending home a note letting you know what time your child needs to be there.

FEBRUARY NEWSLETTER

COSTUME FEES:
Costume fees are due February 9th for Jr. Varsity and Varsity show teams. You may use any money earned from fund raisers to pay for your costumes.

COMPETITION:
Competition is April 3rd and 4th. Competition fees will be due with March tuition. Fees are $15.00 per child per dance. All dancers will be doing 2 dances at competition. You can also use money earned from fundraisers to cover this cost.

VALENTINE PARTY:
We will be having our class Valentine parties on February 9th and 10th. Dancers can bring a treat to share with their class.

NO DANCE:
There will be no dance Monday, February 16th for Presidents Day.

NEWSLETTER INFO

Welcome back! I hope everyone had a good Christmas break. The recital turned out great, I am so proud of all of you. Thanks again to all of the volunteers who helped.

If you would like a DVD of the recital they are $5 - you can place your order during dance. I hope all of my dancers are ready to work hard as we are about to start our new dance routines for competitions.
